Accessibility statement for AMaT Conference 2025
This accessibility statement applies to https://conference.amat.co.uk.
This software system is run by Meantime IT Ltd (opens in new window). We want as many people as possible to be able to use this system. For example, that means you should be able to:
- View the system with no contrast or colour issues, compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA, and in most cases AAA.
- Zoom in using your browser zoom feature
- Navigate the system using just a keyboard
- Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
- We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand, including explaining acronyms and providing detailed on-screen guidance.
- Tooltips with hover information either have an ARIA alternative, or are accessible via the keyboard context menu key.
- The HTML5 modal element has been used for content layers.
- Our 'time' elements use the input type of 'time' so invoking the OS time handler / picker.
- Our 'date' elements use the input type of 'date' so invoking the OS date handler / picker.
- All content areas that refresh using AJAX (where the whole page is not reloaded, just a section) create a status message for assistive technology users.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website may not be fully accessible:
- While we have attempted to find every area that reloads using AJAX and decide, contextually, if they need to have their status announced, some areas may have been missed.
